History of Azabu – Sushi Miami Beach & Japanese Tradition

The name Azabu comes from a historic district in Tokyo that began as a bustling hub for merchants and local businesses. Inspired by this blend of tradition and modernity, Azabu brings authentic Japanese craftsmanship to the heart of Miami Beach, located inside the Marriott Stanton South Beach on 2nd Street and Ocean Drive.

At the center of the experience is The Den, our intimate omakase room led by Tokyo-trained sushi chefs. With premium fish flown in daily from Japan, The Den offers a transportive, Edomae-style tasting unlike anything else in South Beach.

Beyond omakase, guests enjoy a refined menu of sushi, Japanese dishes, and handcrafted cocktails—all served with the warmth and precision of traditional Japanese hospitality. Azabu Miami Sushi is also available for large groups, full buyouts, and private sushi-making classes.
